As an HVAC Mechanic this person will be responsible to perform the following tasks:
- Install Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) related equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications.
- Wire both line and low voltage to heating and cooling equipment.
- Install copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including soldering and brazing.
- Install sheet metal and flex duct systems in residential and commercial buildings.
- Properly connect gas lines to heating equipment.
- Measure jobs to identify proper materials required for install.
- Receive, verify and load all equipment and materials needed for each job.
- Provide assistance to other leads as directed by management.
Required skills:
- Superior trouble-shooting/diagnostic and repair/installing skills for residential and/or commercial air conditioning equipment.
- Ability to perform various types of residential HVAC projects including but not limited to, Air handlers, Split systems, Mini splits and refrigeration.
- Ability to work as a successful part of a team on large projects as well as run a small crew when necessary.
- Team player.
- Basic Computer skills.
- Great customer service skills.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED (Minimum).
- 5-10 years of experience as an HVAC Mechanic is preferred.
- EPA certification required.
